(The 220-person feast was held on the third Saturday in October, while the Faire itself takes place during the fourth week-end.) The cooking crew consisted of Glenda Cockrum, Darell McCormick, James, and many fine individuals associated with the Alabama Renaissance Faire Roundtable.

Despite a long drive (13 hours) for us to reach Alabama and only two days to shop and prepare a feast for 220 people, we had an enjoyable experience and have been told that the food was very well received. The three of us were ushered into the hall during the feast, greeted with applause from the diners, and given awards by the queen of the feast. Thank you, Florence!

On the trip home we took the luxury of spending the night in the wonderfully whimsical Wigwam Village #2, in Cave City, Kentucky. This was a delightful way to end the journey.

Our special thanks go to Billy Warren, Sherry Campbell, Lee Freeman, William Freeman, Steve Reilly,  & Theresa Kanka, the true queen of Florence.
