DESCRIPTION: Beans fried with onions


To frye Beanes.

Take your Beanes and boyle them and put them into a fryenge pan with a disshe of butter & one or two onyons and so let them fry tyll they be browne all together / than cast a lytell salt upon them / & than serue them forth.


To fry Beans.

Take your beans and boil them and put them into a frying pan with a dish of butter & one or two onions and so let them fry till they be brown all together / then cast a little salt upon them / & then serve them forth.


  • Fava beans, fully cooked
  • Butter
  • Onions, sliced thinly or minced
  • Salt
Melt the butter in a frying pan. Add the onions & sauté until just translucent. Add the beans and continue to cook, stirring to prevent sticking, until the onions & beans have slightly browned. Season to taste with a little salt and serve.
