DESCRIPTION: A "faux" wine, perfect for non-alcoholic feasts


  • 6 parts water
  • 1 part red wine vinegar
  • honey OR fruit juice
Combine first two ingredients; flavor to taste with either honey or fruit juice.

This beverage is period from classical Rome to the fall of Constantinople to the Turks. The original version would probably have used spoiled wine instead of vinegar.
